Item Description

These are gorgeous cups of the middle of Edo period.

Item Description

Technique Overglaze enamels
Size Diameter 4.21", Height 2.72"
Age 1740-1770
Condition We repaired them with Urushi (Japanese lacquer) and pure gold Makie because one cup was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake in addition to the old flaws ( some cracks and two thin chips).
Note Please rub of gold, peeling of glaze, stuck point and blackish brown point regard as the evidence that is work made in the old time.
